What you THINK other people think of you

Do you find yourself often ruminating in your brain, wondering what someone else is thinking in their brain about you?

Guess what?

What you think other people think of you is really a reflection of what you think of yourself. It’s impossible to know what someone else is thinking. Ever. The closest you can get to knowing is if they say, “I think …,” and even then they could be lying or people-pleasing.

So if you’re obsessing over other people’s thoughts, remember this: Other people’s thoughts are none of your business. I give permission for people to think whatever they want about me...😂Cuz it’s not like we have a choice anyways.

AND—it just reveals your own work. Because clearly you’re having some unflattering thoughts about yourself.

They probably think my house is a mess = I think my house is a mess

She thinks my outfit is ugly = I think my outfit is ugly

That mom probably thinks I didn’t handle this parenting situation well = I think I didn’t handle this parenting situation well

My husband probably thinks I can’t cook well = I don’t think I cook well.

Make your own list … and do the work on yourself of rewiring your default, not-so-helpful thoughts.
