It took me SIX years to get out of the cycle of feeling like I was running on a hamster wheel, trying to do everything perfectly and ending up doing nothing well, chasing some kind of elusive “Supermom” that doesn't exist.
I don't want it to take you six years. I want it to take you 5 minutes.
It boils down to THREE key ingredients:
1) Manageable—Is it manageable? Will it stress me out?
2) Desirable—Do I want to do this? Will I enjoy this?
3) Will make me a better wife and mother—Will it enhance my mothering or my wifing? (I think I just made up a word.)
If YES, then I can take it on.
If NO, then I have to re-evaluate and see how I can make it manageable, desirable, and enhance my family life.
